Grace Alone

Hi, my name is Ann. Before I share my beliefs, I just want to share something about me. I’m the writer and designer behind Grace Anchored Journey. I am a bible teacher’s wife and a homemaker. My desire is to help others grow stronger in their faith and walk in victory through the Christian life.

For many years, God has impressed on my heart that one ministry I could have is writing to reach people from all walks of life. I’ve had several blogs over the years, but I haven’t always been consistent due to the demands and busyness of life.

When my mother passed away, I experienced a deep sense of loneliness. That’s when God stepped in and reminded me of the gift He gave me – to write for His glory.

God has grown me in many areas, especially in my marriage. He continues to transform me into the woman He wants me to be.

Join me as we discover God’s plan for us and continue to live out our salvation by His grace.

Much blessing to you!

My beliefs about the Bible:

  • The Bible is the inspired Word of God.
  • It is the written records of His revelation of Himself to mankind.
  • It is absolute in its authority, complete in its revelation, inerrant and infallible.
  • John 1:1, 2 Timothy 3:16-17, Proverbs 30:5-6, John 17:17

My beliefs about mankind and sin:

  • Each of us is fallen, sinful, and lost.
  • All of us are destined to go to hell as payment of sin.
  • Man needs regeneration by the Holy Spirit for salvation.
  •  Psalm 14:1-3, Romans 3:23, 2 Cor 5:17

My beliefs about salvation:

  • We are saved by grace alone through faith and nothing of us is involved in His salvation.
  • Salvation is a gift, and no need for reciprocation.
  •  Man’s efforts, regardless of how good and well-intended before or after salvation, have nothing to do with it.
  • Salvation is only by the finished work of Christ, and nothing can be added to it.
  • In order to receive salvation, we must believe the Gospel alone.
  • Biblical repentance is a change of mind from unbelief to believing that the only salvation is from the finished work of Jesus Christ. Nowhere in the Bible where it says, “repent of sins” in relation to spiritual salvation but only repent which means “change of mind.” Repent that leads to change of action is usually use to talk about physical salvation (with works) in the OT (like the books of Jonah and Ezekiel) to avoid physical destruction and believers in the NT (2 Corinthians 7:10 – addressed to the church in Corinth not to unbelievers).
  • John 19:30, Rom 11:6, Gal 2:16, Eph 2:8-9, Col 2:13, Titus 3:5, John 3:16

My beliefs about the Gospel:

  • The Gospel is simply the death, burial, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ.
  • That through the preaching of the Gospel and believing it, man can attain salvation of his soul.
  • 1 Corinthians 15:2-8, Matthew 28:19-20

Thank you and God bless you!
